All children that enter the children’s tournament will be eligible to win the grand prize of a free 4 hour fishing charter for up to 4 people this summer from LGFA member and charter boat captain of Rod Bender Charters, Jeff Johnson

Interested in Learning How to Ice Fish?

Visit the Free Ice Fishing Clinic provided by Lake George Fishing Alliance

Starts at 10 AM and goes to 2 PM
LGFA members will be there with plenty of their own gear, so you can try out drilling a hole through the ice, jigging for panfish, and setting a tip-up to see what ice fishing is all about.
The clinic will be located on Sawmill Bay, which is directly out from the shoreline of Veterans Park in Bolton Landing.
Remember: Children under 16 don’t need a fishing license to come out and learn – just dress for the weather!

RULES

All participants will abide by applicable New York State and federal game laws. Lake George special regulations: 2 fish per person per day, 18" minimum Salmon and 23" Lake Trout. A tournament minimum of 28" on Lake Trout will be in effect
All participants are subject to inspection by judges at any time. The judges shall have the right to disqualify any questionable fish.The decision of the judges is final. Fish entered will be held until after the tournament is finished
Fishing boundaries open to all Lake George. Fishing holes are limited to five tip ups and 2 hand lines per participant. Registration and weigh-in station at Veterans Park, Bolton Landing
Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd heaviest fish for Lake Trout, Landlocked Salmon, Northern Pike and Perch. In case of a tie, the longest fish wins. In case of another tie, the fish weighed in first wins. One winner per participant, per fish category. Prizes for each category are as follows: 1st Place - $300; 2nd Place $200; 3rd Place $125. Must have receipt to enter fish. * Separate prizes for children
Tournament hours: 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. All fish must be weighed in before 3:45 p.m. Awards and prizes to follow. Raffle prizes will be randomly drawn from all entries. Must be present, with ID and receipt to win. All taxes are the responsibility of the winner
Any un-sportsman-like conduct, unsafe acts or failure to adhere to the rules will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fee
